To delete your account, follow these steps:
We provide account deletion through our website. You must be signed in to Chitchat to delete your account.
- Click the settings icon in the bottom left corner.
- Tap "Privacy".
- Click on "Delete" next to Account Removal.
- A subscription reminder pop-up will appear. If your subscription is cancelled, press “I understand, delete my account” to continue.
- You will see a final confirmation pop-up. Type "DELETE MY ACCOUNT", then press "Delete My Account".
Please note that once you request account deletion, your account and associated data will become inaccessible. Your data will then be permanently deleted from our servers after 30 days, in line with our Privacy Policy. Messages are anonymized after account deletion. Some limited information may be retained where required for legal, security, or compliance reasons.
If you change your mind later on, you can restore your account within 30 days. During that time, signing in with your previous credentials will restore your account fully.
If you can’t access your account to delete it, contact us using this form. We may take up 24 hours to respond.
Keep in mind
- Simply closing the browser, window, or logging out of your account will not delete your Chitchat account. You must follow the steps above.

Deleting your account won’t automatically cancel an active subscription. You have to cancel your subscription before, during, or after the deletion to avoid further billing attempts.
