Chitchat is built to help people meet and talk in a safe, respectful environment. To protect our community, we may temporarily or permanently ban accounts that break our Community Guidelines or make other users feel uncomfortable, unsafe, or harassed.
Your account may be banned if you do any of the following during chats, messages, or while using your profile. The examples below are not a complete list, but they include some of the most common reasons accounts are removed from Chitchat. Review our guidelines for a more detailed list.
Sexual or explicit behavior
Accounts may be banned for sexual, nude, or inappropriate behavior, including:
- Nudity or partial nudity
- Sexually explicit actions, gestures, or language
- Asking or pressuring another user to show nudity or sexual content
- Showing or sharing sexually explicit images, videos, or links
- Using Chitchat for sexual solicitation or unwanted sexual comments
Inappropriate profile content
Your profile should be appropriate for the Chitchat community. Profiles may be removed or accounts may be banned for:
- Nudity, sexual content, or suggestive images
- Hate, threats, harassment, or offensive language
- Spam, ads, commercial promotions, or suspicious links
- Promoting personal social media, paid services, or adult content
- Posting someone else’s private information, copyrighted content, or misleading details
Harassment, hate, threats, or abuse
Accounts may be banned for behavior that attacks, threatens, or harms others, including:
- Repeated insults, bullying, or harassment
- Threats of violence or self-harm encouragement
- Hate speech or discriminatory comments about race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
- Intimidating, aggressive, or abusive behavior
Unsafe, illegal, or suspicious activity
Accounts may be banned for activity that puts users or the platform at risk, including:
- Sharing or requesting personal information such as addresses, phone numbers, passwords, payment details, or private accounts
- Impersonating another person
- Scamming, phishing, spam, or suspicious links
- Promoting illegal activity, dangerous behavior, or harmful content
- Attempting to bypass bans, moderation tools, or platform restrictions
If you believe your ban was a mistake, please submit a request and we’ll review it within 24 hours. To avoid future bans, follow the Community Guidelines, be respectful to other users, and end any chat that becomes uncomfortable or unsafe.
